Insurance

St. Paul Pediatric Dentistry accepts most dental insurances. Please call us if you have questions concerning your specific insurance carrier.

Scheduling

We attempt to schedule appointments at your convenience.  For this reason we offer early morning appointments before school and later afternoon appointments after school.  Keep in mind, these are very popular appointments and fill up quickly.

In order for patients to have the best dental experience possible, we schedule certain patients only in the morning.  Young children need to be seen in the morning as they tend to be more cooperative.  School aged children requiring multiple appointments for treatment will also be scheduled in the morning when they are less tired and more likely to cooperate.

Rescheduling or Canceling Appointments

Since appointed times are reserved specifically for each patient, we ask that you please notify our office at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled time if you are unable to keep your appointment.  We realize that emergencies occur and we ask for you assistance in this matter.

Late Arrival

In order to ensure that all patients are seen at their appointed time, St. Paul Pediatric Dentistry asks that patients arrive on time for each appointment.  Any patient arriving more than 10 minutes late may be asked to reschedule at the staff's discretion.

Parental Involvement

New environments can be intimidating for some children.  If the child is nervous or anxious about their dental appointment, parents are asked to accompany the child during their first visit.  As the child becomes familiar with our office and staff members, he or she will become more comfortable.  We encourage parents to allow them to demonstrate independence at subsequent visit.

A parent's presence during restorative treatment is determined on a case-by-case basis.  We typically find that children behave much better without their parents at the dental chair.

We Appreciate What’s Been Said!

Pediatric Dentists, like Dr. Julie,  Dr. Carmen and Dr. Sylvia, specialize in the treatment and prevention of dental disease, as well as the overall oral health of children. Through extra years of schooling, training, experience, and certification, a pediatric dentist is uniquely qualified to treat the dental needs of infants, children, adolescents and those with special health care needs.

Why Choose a Pediatric Dentist?

A pediatric patient not only has a different dentition than adults but he/she may have specific dental and behavioral needs that are unique to a child. These needs may include orthodontics, sealants, fluoride applications or home treatments, or just simply education in oral hygiene. In addition to treating existing dental problems, our office focuses on prevention through patient and parent education.

We like to feel that you and your child do not come to our office to have their ”cavities fixed” but rather to prevent them. We strive to provide all of the educational tools necessary for our patients to enjoy a cavity-free future.
